Rockwall County Gameday – Hoop Highlights Basketball Update
It was an exciting week in Rockwall County with lots of wins and some tough losses, but with each match comes an opportunity to reflect and improve. We’re proud of the dedication and effort that each young athlete puts forth each week for their school. We are so proud to call Rockwall our home and couldn’t think of a better way to give back to our community than highlighting the successes of the local youth. After all, they are the future leaders of ROCO!

ROCKWALL
BOYS
This past weekend, the Rockwall Yellowjacket Basketball Team participated in the San Antonio Reagan Tournament and competed against Nixon, Taft, and Round Rock. It was a great weekend for the Yellowjackets as they returned home with 3 dubs (wins). Here’s a snapshot of how they performed according to information available on MaxPreps.
Rockwall vs. Laredo Nixon
Final Score: 71-62 for a Rockwall victory!🏀🐝
They ended this match with 34 rebounds, 18 assists, 9 steals, a 51% field goal percentage, a 29% three pointer percentage, and a 95% free throw percentage.

Friday, the Rockwall Lady Jacket Basketball team took on the Crandall Pirates.
It was a tough fought battle and a close game, but the Lady Jackets emerged victorious 52-45. They ended this match with 30 rebounds, 7 assists, 9 steals, a 36% field goal percentage, a 17% three pointer percentage, and a 71% free throw percentage.
Tomorrow night, the Lady Jackets will face off against Rockwall-Heath in Heath at 7:00pm.
ROCKWALL-HEATH
BOYS
On Tuesday, the Rockwall-Heath Hawk Basketball team added another tally to their winning streak after defeating the Frisco Reedy Lions 74-61.
They ended this match with 31 rebounds, 12 assists, 3 steals, a 41% field goal percentage, a 35% three pointer percentage, and a 67% free throw percentage.
This past weekend, the Hawks participated in the Cedar Hill Tournament where they faced off against the Grand Prairie Gophers and the Mesquite Horn Jaguars. Here’s a snapshot of their performance:

Rockwall-Heath vs. Mesquite Horn

They ended this match with 34 rebounds, 10 assists, 6 steals, a 37% field goal percentage, a 32% three pointer percentage, and a 56% free throw percentage.
Tonight, the Hawks will face off against Arlington Martin in Arlington at 8:00pm.
GIRLS
On Friday, the Lady Hawk Basketball team took on the Frisco Heritage Coyotes.
It was a tough game, but in the end the Lady Hawks prevailed 50-39! They ended this match with 34 rebounds, 4 assists, 7 steals, a 40% field goal percentage, a 30% three pointer percentage, and a 75% free throw percentage.
Tomorrow night, the Lady Hawks will face off against Rockwall in Heath at 7:00pm.

ROYSE CITY
BOYS
This past Friday, the Royse City Bulldog Basketball team faced off against the Poteet Pirates.
It was a tough fought battle and a close game, but in the end the Bulldogs fell to the pirates 55-59. They ended this match with 35 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 steal, 2 blocks, a 35% field goal percentage, a 42% three pointer percentage, and a 42% free throw percentage.
Tomorrow night (12/12), the Bulldogs will face off against the Princeton Panthers in Royse City. Tip off is at 7:30pm according to MaxPreps.
GIRLS
On Friday, the Royse City Lady Bulldog Basketball team took on Allen Eagles in Allen.
It was a tough fought battle and a close game, but in the end the Lady Bulldogs fell to the Eagles 54-47. They ended this match with 36 rebounds, 8 assists, 6 steals, 2 blocks, a 35% field goal percentage, a 27% three pointer percentage, and a 55% free throw percentage.
On Friday (12/15), the Lady Bulldogs will face off against the North Forney Falcons in Forney at 7:00pm.
DALLAS CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

This past weekend, the Dallas Christian Charger Basketball Team participated in the Willspoint Tournament where they competed against North Lamar and Willspoint. It was a great weekend for the Yellowjackets as they returned home with 3 dubs (wins). Here’s a snapshot of how they performed according to information available on MaxPreps.

Dallas Christian vs. Willspoint
Final Score: 54-51 for a Charger victory!🏀🐴
They ended this match with 24 rebounds, 11 assists, 5 steals, 5 blocks, a 46% field goal percentage, a 48% three pointer percentage, and a 33% free throw percentage.
According to MaxPreps, the Chargers next pre-season game is on 12/18/23 against the Cistercian Hawks of Irving at 1:30pm in Irving. The Chargers are set to begin district play shortly after on 1/5/24!
GIRLS
On December 1st, the Lady Chargers took on the Dunbar Wildcats and the Richardson Eagles. Both of which resulted in a loss, but the stats are impressive! They ended their night with 71 points, 7 three pointers, 64 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 10 steals.
On Thursday (12/14) the Lady Chargers will face off against the Hockaday Daisies in Dallas at 7:00pm
HERITAGE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY
BOYS
This past Friday, the Heritage Christian Eagle Basketball team competed against Wylie Prep Academy.
It was a tough fought battle, but in the end the Eagles fell to the Patriots 28-51. They ended this match with 25 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals, 7 blocks, an 18% field goal percentage, a 19% three pointer percentage, and a 75% free throw percentage.
According to MaxPreps, the Eagles will face off against Longview Christian on 1/18/24 in Longview at 7:30pm.
GIRLS
On December 5th, the Heritage Christian Lady Eagle Basketball team competed against Nazarene Christian Academy.
It was a tough fought battle and a close game, but in the end the Lady Eagles fell to the Lions 29-25. They ended this match with 25 rebounds, 5 assists, 11 steals, 1 block, a 24% field goal percentage, a 16% three pointer percentage, and a 22% free throw percentage.
According to MaxPreps, the Lady Eagles will face off against Longview Christian on 1/18/24 in Longview at 6:00pm.
