Compared to previous articles, we’re making some changes to how we present each team’s scores every week. With the Hoop Highlights series you can expect to see all your favorite teams scores and updates located in one place. Yes, that’s right! We will be posting updates for Rockwall, Rockwall-Heath, Royse City, Heritage Christian, and Dallas Christian all in one spot. This also includes girls and boys teams! 

We hope that this small change makes it easier on our readers to check up on updates each week and we’d love your feedback on the new setup. Do you love the new layout? Hate it? Let us know by sharing your thoughts on our Facebook page.

ROCKWALL

BOYS

Tuesday, the Rockwall Yellowjacket Basketball team took on the Plano East Panthers

It was a tough fought battle, but in the end the Yellowjackets fell to the Panthers 61-46. They ended this match with 25 rebounds, 13 assists, 2 steals, a 36% field goal percentage, a 20% three pointer percentage, and a 71% free throw percentage. 

This weekend, the Yellowjackets will participate in the San Antonio Reagan Tournament and face off against Nixon and 2 other opponents yet to be announced. Their first game of the tournament is scheduled for 5:30pm tomorrow. 

GIRLS

Tuesday, the Rockwall Lady Jacket Basketball team took on the Allen Eagles. 

It was a tough fought battle and a close game, but in the end the Lady Jackets fell to the Eagles 55-50. They ended this match with 35 rebounds, 13 assists, 3 steals, a 36% field goal percentage, a 36% three pointer percentage, and a 88% free throw percentage. 

Tomorrow night, the Lady Jackets will face off against the Crandall Pirates in the RHS gym at 7:30pm. 

ROCKWALL-HEATH

BOYS

On Tuesday, the Rockwall-Heath Hawk Basketball team added another tally to their winning streak after defeating the Frisco Reedy Lions 74-61

They ended this match with 31 rebounds, 12 assists, 3 steals, a 41% field goal percentage, a 35% three pointer percentage, and a 67% free throw percentage. 

This weekend, the Hawks will participate in the Cedar Hill Tournament. Their opponents have yet to be announced. 

GIRLS

On Tuesday, the Lady Hawk Basketball team took on the Lake Highlands Wildcats. 

It was a tough fought battle and a very close game, but in the end the Lady Hawks were victorious! They ended this match with 29 rebounds, 9 assists, 5 steals, 5 blocks, a 45% field goal percentage, a 30% three pointer percentage, and a 50% free throw percentage. 

Tomorrow night, the Lady Hawks will face off against the Heritage Coyotes in Frisco. Tip off is set for 6:30pm. 

Also, in case you missed it – the Lady Hawks have opened their spirit shop for the season, so grab your gear while you can!

ROYSE CITY

BOYS

This past weekend, the Royse City Bulldog Basketball team participated in the Craig Bowers Memorial Tournament. During this tournament, the Yellowjackets went head-to-head with Lakeview Centennial, Bryan Adams, and Hallsville. 

It was a great weekend for the Bulldogs as they returned home with 3 new wins under their belt! On Thursday (11/30) the Bulldogs defeated Lakeview Centennial 78-62. They ended this match with 25 rebounds, 13 assists, 20 steals, a 49% field goal percentage, a 20% three pointer percentage, and a 68% free throw percentage. 

On Friday (12/1), the Bulldogs defeated Bryan Adams 86-46. Unfortunately, no stats are available on this game at this time.

On Saturday (12/2), the Bulldogs took on the Hallsville Bobcats. It was a tough fought battle and a close game, but in the end the Bulldogs emerged victorious with a final score of 54-51. They ended this match with 24 rebounds, 9 assists, 1 steal, a 40% field goal percentage, a 36% three pointer percentage, and an 88% free throw percentage. 

Tomorrow night (12/8), the Bulldogs will face off against the Poteet Pirates in Mesquite. Tip off is at 7pm according to MaxPreps. 

GIRLS

On Tuesday, the Royse City Lady Bulldog Basketball team took on the Memorial Warriors of Frisco. 

It was a tough fought battle and a close game, but in the end the Lady Bulldogs fell to the Warriors 52-49. They ended this match with 29 rebounds, 10 assists, 11 steals, 5 blocks, a 45% field goal percentage, a 30% three pointer percentage, and a 50% free throw percentage. 

We want to give a huge shoutout to Trinidi King for putting up 14 points, 1 block, 3 steals, and 1 three-pointer. What a game for this young lady! We’d also like to highlight Destiny Alexander, Kayla Sargent, and Karys Oubre for contributing 10 points each! Be careful y’all! The Lady Bulldogs are on fire!

Tomorrow night (12/8), the Lady Bulldogs will face off against the Allen Eagles in Allen at 6:15pm.

DALLAS CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

BOYS

Last Friday (12/1), the Dallas Christian Charger Basketball team defeated Garland Christian Academy 66-46. At this time, no further stats are available for this game.

According to MaxPreps, the Chargers next pre-season game is on 12/18/23 against the Cistercian Hawks of Irving at 1:30pm in Irving. The Chargers are set to begin district play shortly after on 1/5/24!

GIRLS

This past weekend, the Dallas Christian Lady Charger Basketball team participated in the Craig Bowers Memorial Tournament. During this tournament, the Lady Chargers went head-to-head with Tyler Legacy, Mt. Pleasant, Dunbar, and Richardson. 

On Thursday (11/30) the Lady Chargers went head-to-head with Tyler Legacy. It was a tough fought battle and a close game, but in the end the Chargers fell to the Raiders 41-32. We still want to give a big shoutout to Senior Jackie Schlegel for putting up 12 points, securing 5 rebounds, and 3 steals! Juniors Megan Greer and Macie Perkins put up another 12 points and sank 2 three pointers with a combined 75% three point percentage. Perkins also secured 10 rebounds and 3 blocks! Although the Chargers lost to the Raiders, they ended their night with a 29-26 victory against Mt. Pleasant.

On Friday (12/1), the Lady Chargers took on the Dunbar Wildcats and the Richardson Eagles. Both of which resulted in a loss, but the stats are impressive! They ended their night with 71 points, 7 three pointers, 64 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 10 steals. 

Tonight (12/7), the Lady Chargers will face off against the Spruce Timberwolves in Dallas at 6:00pm. 

HERITAGE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY

BOYS

This past Tuesday, the Heritage Christian Eagle Basketball team fell to Nazarene Christian Academy 62-37. At this time, no further stats are available for this game.

Tomorrow night (12/8), the Eagles will face off against Wylie Prep Academy at HCA at 8:00pm. 

GIRLS

This past Tuesday, the Heritage Christian Lady Eagle Basketball team competed against Nazarene Christian Academy.

It was a tough fought battle and a close game, but in the end the Lady Eagles fell to the Lions 29-25. They ended this match with 25 rebounds, 5 assists, 11 steals, 1 block, a 24% field goal percentage, a 16% three pointer percentage, and a 22% free throw percentage. 

According to MaxPreps, the Lady Eagles will face off against Longview Christian on 1/18/24 in Longview at 6:00pm.
